Since 6 October 2025, subscribers of Kazakhstani mobile operators who are roaming in the territory of the Russian Federation have been experiencing disruptions in receiving incoming SMS messages.
The issue affects all Kazakhstani telecom operators - Kcell, activ, Beeline, Tele2 and Altel. In particular, banking SMS codes are not being delivered, which may complicate access to online banking, payment confirmation and logging into mobile applications.
According to the operators, the transmission of messages from banks and services is functioning as normal, however the delivery of SMS messages to the Russian Federation is temporarily restricted on the side of the Russian networks. No timeline for resolving the issue has yet been announced.
Matias account is monitoring the situation and will report on the resumption of stable SMS service operation as soon as official information becomes available.
