IIN Adjustment: Why It’s Necessary and How to Do It
November 27, 2025The Russian company Kontur has announced the launch of cross-border electronic document management (EDM) with Kazakhstan. Russian users of the service can now exchange legally valid electronic documents with their Kazakhstani counterparties.
Documents sent via the cross-border EDM (CEDM) system have full legal force in both countries.
A cooperation agreement has been concluded with the Kazakhstani operator Idocs. By the end of 2025, Documentolog and Uchet.EDO are also expected to join the system. For now, users can only exchange non-financial documents.
Documents are signed using a double-verification scheme: each party signs the document with its own electronic signature, after which its authenticity is verified by a trusted third party.
On the Russian side, the pilot participant is GazInformService, and on the Kazakhstani side it is JSC National Information Technologies (NIT).
According to company representatives, the launch of cross-border EDM is an important step towards simplifying document flow between businesses in the two countries and strengthening digital cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Area.
